Adjunct Instructor, Neurobiology

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned upper-division neurobiology courses using evidence-based instruction practices
• Provide a supportive learning environment and facilitate effective student learning
• Adhere to course curricula, methods, and lesson plans developed by the Department of Biology
• Conduct regular student assessments and provide timely graded feedback on homework, quizzes, and exams
• Maintain regular availability to meet with students through scheduled office hours
• Utilize online learning systems to assign coursework, communicate with students, and manage grading

Requirements

• Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, PhD, or DPT) in a relevant field
• Previous instructional or teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student-centered pedagogy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with or ability to learn Moodle and Banner learning/course management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching undergraduate neurobiology courses
