About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned molecular biology courses (lectures or labs) including genetics, microbiology, and immunology
- Use evidence-based instruction practices to provide a supportive and effective learning environment
- Adhere to departmental curricula, methods, and lesson plans as developed by the Department of Biology
- Conduct regular student assessments and provide timely graded feedback on homework, quizzes, and exams
- Maintain regular availability to meet with students through scheduled office hours
- Utilize online learning systems and network resources for communication, grading, and course management
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters, Ph.D., or D.P.T.) or professional experience in a relevant field
- Previous instructional or teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student-centered learning
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses in genetics, cell and molecular biology, microbiology, or immunology
