About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for students enrolled in courses within the Manufacturing and Trades Technology (MATT) department, including dual credit high school students
  • Teach scheduled courses and actively engage students in the learning process
  • Assess courses at both departmental and institutional levels
  • Attend adjunct faculty meetings and maintain professional and ethical behavior
  • Complete required training, including Blackboard Online Instructor Certification and Title IX Training
  • Utilize institutional teaching and learning resources to continually improve professional knowledge and teaching skills
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures contained in the TSUS and LIT manuals

Requirements

  • Appropriate degree in accordance with specific program instructor qualifications (e.g., Associate's or Master's degree depending on the program)
  • Proven work experience in the specifically-targeted program or related field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of teaching methodologies and pedagogical strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related coursework
  • Previous experience teaching in a higher education environment
  • Relevant industry or field-specific certifications
