Adjunct Instructor, Legal Research and Writing

Responsibilities

• Prepare course materials including syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, and exams
• Teach Legal Research and Writing to LLM students, focusing on research skills, persuasion, and written communication
• Provide a classroom environment conducive to learning and use Canvas for course management
• Grade student work and provide timely, constructive written feedback
• Hold office hours to provide individualized direction and assessment of student progress
• Adhere to all University and College of Law policies and complete required training

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent
• Five years of post-J.D. work experience in legal practice or a related field
• Effective communication skills and professional demeanor

• Prior teaching experience
• Demonstrated teaching potential
