About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach the introductory course ENVS 120 "Foundations of Sustainability" during the Fall 2026 semester
- Deliver course content covering the interrelated environmental, economic, social, and technological problems facing humans at local, regional, and global scales
- Utilize a scientific approach to explore concepts such as climate change, environmental degradation, and social inequalities
- Facilitate learning for an expected enrollment of approximately 25-30 students
- Maintain a regular teaching schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:50 AM - 12:05 PM
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability Studies, or a related field
- ABD (All But Dissertation) candidates are welcome to apply
- Ability to provide a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and 3-5 professional references
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior college-level teaching experience is highly desired
