Adjunct Instructor, Hartman Center Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise structured literacy instruction during the standard program day
• Observe and provide instructional feedback to supervised instructors
• Evaluate instructor performance and maintain accurate records
• Coach and instruct reading instructors within the summer program
• Communicate regularly with Marquette faculty and administrators regarding instructor performance and accountability
• Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in literacy instruction
• Uphold professional and ethical standards in accordance with University policies

Requirements

• Master's degree preferred, or substantial progress toward a terminal degree
• Ability to supervise structured literacy instruction
• Ability to provide effective instructional feedback to educators

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree with a Reading Teacher License (316) from a regionally accredited institution
• At least three years of K-12 teaching experience
• Experience in the supervision and coaching of teachers
• Recent experience working in diverse, urban school settings
• Extensive knowledge of current instructional and assessment strategies
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to relate well to students and colleagues
