About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as adjunct faculty for the didactic phase of the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program
  • Deliver instruction in either a traditional classroom setting or a simulation center
  • Execute teaching responsibilities for courses during summer, fall, and/or spring semesters
  • Provide quality education and mentorship to nurse anesthesia students
  • Maintain professional standards and comply with all University, departmental, and FERPA regulations regarding student records

Requirements

  • CRNA Certification
  • Texas Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure
  • Master's degree in nurse anesthesia or a higher comparable degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CRNA
  • Previous experience in higher education or clinical teaching
