Adjunct Instructor for Nursing

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned nursing courses, including lecture and laboratory sections, modeling best practices in teaching and pedagogy.
• Provide hands-on clinical instruction and site supervision at healthcare facilities throughout the Portland metro area.
• Advise and mentor students, providing prompt and thorough feedback to support their professional growth.
• Communicate clearly with students regarding instruction and feedback availability outside of regular course hours.
• Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students while promoting the mission and values of the University.
• Adhere to University policies and demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing (required for didactic courses).
• BSN with CNE or CL certification (required for clinical instruction).
• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate-level teaching experience or clinical precepting experience.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Current unencumbered RN license in Washington.
