Adjunct Instructor for Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned chemistry courses, including lecture and laboratory sections (e.g., Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Introduction to Chemistry)
• Mentor students and provide prompt, thorough feedback to support their academic growth
• Model best practices in teaching using sound pedagogical and andragogical methods
• Communicate clearly with students regarding instruction and feedback availability outside of class hours
• Work collegially with the Dean, faculty, staff, and students
• Promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University
• Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold the university's Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement

Requirements

• Graduate degree in chemistry or education/teaching
• Ability to teach both lecture and laboratory sections
• Commitment to the mission and Christian identity of Warner Pacific University

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry
• Professional experience in the field of Chemistry
• Previous college-level teaching experience in a relevant curriculum
• Experience working with diverse student populations
