Adjunct Instructor for Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned chemistry courses, including lecture and laboratory sections, such as Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Introduction to Chemistry.
• Mentor students and provide prompt, thorough feedback to support their academic growth.
• Communicate clearly regarding instruction availability and feedback outside of regular course hours.
• Work collegially with the Dean, faculty, staff, and students.
• Promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University.
• Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and adhere to the university's Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.
• Exhibit commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity regarding national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in chemistry or education/teaching.
• Commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and the university's mission.
• Ability to work on the traditional campus in Portland, OR.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry.
• Professional experience in the field of Chemistry.
• Previous college-level teaching experience in a relevant curriculum.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
