About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and communicate course syllabi to students to establish a foundation for the semester.
- Teach and review course materials to ensure students meet established learning objectives.
- Design and assess pedagogical projects, exams, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Participate in academic program learning outcomes assessment activities, including analyzing and reporting on student progress.
- Maintain availability during faculty office hours to assist students with course material, career goals, and internship searches.
- Submit required administrative paperwork, including syllabi and final grades, in a timely manner.
- Fulfill University requests related to accreditation, data collection, and compliance training.
Requirements
- Education and/or professional work experience in the field of Fashion Merchandising or Management.
- Ability to teach in person at the Brookville, NY campus.
- Technical proficiency to fulfill job duties and maintain instructional standards.
- Ability to acquire and use an LIU email address for all official university and student communications.
