About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned developmental and technical mathematics courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse student learning styles
- Foster a safe, civil, and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Inform students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or secondary teacher licensure in Mathematics
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with individuals from varied backgrounds
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree with at least 12 graduate semester credits in Mathematics
- Previous teaching experience
