Adjunct Instructor, Dance

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach intermediate-level contemporary dance technique classes
• Incorporate dance history and vocabulary into the curriculum
• Provide regular feedback on student performance and grade written reflections
• Administer mid-term and final exams to assess student knowledge and skill
• Hold regular office hours to support student learning
• Submit grades according to established university deadlines

Requirements

• MFA or equivalent professional experience in dance
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
• Ability to respond to the academic needs of learners from diverse backgrounds
• Proven ability to use classroom strategies that advance equity, inclusion, and belonging
