About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses, including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigation, and Report Writing, to high school students.
- Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles.
- Foster a safe, civil, and inclusive learning environment.
- Inform students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A combination of formal training and professional tested experience equivalent to at least 6,000 hours.
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values and varied cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience, specifically with high school students.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Ability to apply alternative instructional delivery systems to enhance learning.
