Adjunct Instructor, Criminal Justice

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses, including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigation, and Report Writing, to high school students.
• Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles.
• Foster a safe, civil, and inclusive learning environment.
• Inform students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• A combination of formal training and professional tested experience equivalent to at least 6,000 hours.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values and varied cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience, specifically with high school students.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
• Ability to apply alternative instructional delivery systems to enhance learning.
