Adjunct Instructor, Communication

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate communication courses on a part-time basis
• Provide instruction in areas such as public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or business communication
• Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System for course management
• Evaluate student coursework using best practices
• Hold regular office hours and respond to student communications in a timely manner
• Participate in program assessment and at least one professional development workshop per year

Requirements

• Master's degree (or higher) in Communication
• At least one year of teaching experience in a college setting
• Proficiency in using Canvas LMS

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. or ABD in Communication
• Specific experience teaching public speaking, interpersonal communication, or business communication
