About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned undergraduate communication courses on a part-time basis
- Provide instruction in areas such as public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or business communication
- Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System for course management
- Evaluate student coursework using best practices
- Hold regular office hours and respond to student communications in a timely manner
- Participate in program assessment and at least one professional development workshop per year
Requirements
- Master's degree (or higher) in Communication
- At least one year of teaching experience in a college setting
- Proficiency in using Canvas LMS
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or ABD in Communication
- Specific experience teaching public speaking, interpersonal communication, or business communication
