Adjunct Instructor, Communication and Media Studies

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned communication or media courses using evidence-based instruction practices
• Provide a supportive learning environment and facilitate effective student learning
• Adhere to course curricula, methods, practices, and lesson plans developed by the Department
• Conduct regular student assessments and provide timely graded feedback on homework, quizzes, and exams
• Maintain regular availability to meet with students by holding scheduled office hours
• Utilize online learning systems and network resources to manage assignments and communication

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Teaching or instructional experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with learning and course management systems such as Moodle, Canvas, or Banner

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field
• Experience teaching undergraduate courses
