Adjunct Instructor, Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned freshman and sophomore level chemistry courses, including lecture and laboratory sections
• Prepare course materials that align with departmental learning objectives
• Provide timely grading and constructive feedback to students
• Offer academic guidance and support to foster student success and critical thinking
• Maintain a safe and safety-conscious environment within the chemistry laboratory

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
• Alternatively, an MD or DO with significant familiarity with chemistry
• Demonstrated ability to manage laboratory safety for self and students
• Commitment to the mission and values of La Salle University

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college or high school level
• Specific experience or expertise in teaching chemistry laboratory courses
