About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach one section of CRIM 215 (Gender, Race, and Crime) or CRIM 260 (Criminology) for the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs and encourage critical thinking.
  • Facilitate in-person instruction on the Springfield, MA campus.
  • Manage course content related to criminal justice policies, crime patterns, and social/political processes.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required for all courses.
  • MS, MA, or MEd required for graduate-level courses.
  • Must reside in one of the following states: MA, CT, WI, DE, TX, VT, or FL.
  • Ability to teach in person on the Springfield, MA campus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated success in classroom instruction and student engagement.
