Master of Religion from an accredited institution, Ability to communicate with diverse student populations, Prior university teaching experience preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Theology, Religion, or General Education Religion curriculum
- Participate in pedagogical efforts to meet student learning outcomes for BA programs
- Utilize the university's learning management system and required instructional methodologies
- Maintain appropriate record keeping for assigned classes and assessments
- Honor academic timelines for midterm/final exams and grade submissions
- Communicate timely with students and the Department Chair (within 24 hours)
- Mentor students regarding their educational and career goals
Requirements
- Master of Religion from an accredited institution in a specific applied area
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population of students
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university’s philosophy, mission, and core values
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior university teaching experience or equivalent professional experience
