Adjunct Faculty - School of Education (Dissertation Chair)

Responsibilities

• Supervise doctoral candidates conducting dissertation research across various concentrations in the School of Education
• Provide guidance, support, and practical, constructive feedback throughout the entire dissertation process
• Review candidate manuscripts within a two-week timeframe
• Ensure candidates adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the Dissertation Handbook
• Respond to student inquiries via email within 24 hours on weekdays

Requirements

• Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
• Completion of a traditional qualitative or quantitative dissertation
• Prior experience serving as a dissertation chair or committee member
• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative or quantitative research methods
• Proficiency in APA 7th edition style
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word) and online instructional technology such as Canvas or Blackboard
• Commitment to Regent University's core values and a willingness to subscribe to a Statement of Christian Faith

Preferred Qualifications

• Ongoing contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
• Experience teaching research methods using Canvas or Blackboard
• Proven track record of responsiveness and dedicated doctoral candidate support
