Adjunct Faculty, Physics

Responsibilities

• Engage in instructional activities including classroom, laboratory, or hybrid/online instruction for undergraduate and graduate students
• Prepare teaching materials, write syllabi, and maintain competence in physics subject matter
• Assess student performance through written examinations, papers, presentations, and projects
• Provide timely feedback on coursework and manage grading within established timeframes
• Confer with students regarding course materials and direct individual or group studies
• Provide academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in all interactions with students, colleagues, and administrators

Requirements

• Master's degree or doctorate in Physics
• Strong commitment to quality teaching and student achievement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience with Blackboard or a similar Learning Management System (LMS)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and practice inclusive pedagogy
• Ability to travel between campuses and work evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous college-level teaching experience
• Familiarity with educational assessment practices
