Master's degree, Ability to teach introductory Earth science, Ability to teach physical geography
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate up to 14 credit hours per academic year of introductory Physics and/or Earth-Space science courses
- Utilize inquiry-based, learner-centered, and active learning methods in the classroom
- Instruct courses such as Physics with Algebra/Calculus, Elements of Chemistry and Physics, Introduction to Earth-Space Science, Physical Geography, and Geohazards
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field (Ph.D. preferred)
- Ability to teach introductory Earth science
- Ability to teach physical geography
- Strong desire to engage in student-centered teaching
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with active learning techniques
- Experience teaching geohazards
