About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach and evaluate up to 14 credit hours per academic year of introductory Physics and/or Earth-Space science courses
  • Utilize inquiry-based, learner-centered, and active learning methods in the classroom
  • Instruct courses such as Physics with Algebra/Calculus, Elements of Chemistry and Physics, Introduction to Earth-Space Science, Physical Geography, and Geohazards

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Ability to teach introductory Earth science
  • Ability to teach physical geography
  • Strong desire to engage in student-centered teaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with active learning techniques
  • Experience teaching geohazards
