Adjunct Faculty - Nursing

Responsibilities

• Instruct and evaluate students in classroom, nursing laboratory, or clinical settings
• Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment when teaching in the nursing lab
• Evaluate student learning in clinical settings using standard departmental evaluation tools
• Attend required clinical agency orientations and Department of Nursing adjunct orientations
• Adhere to all Department of Nursing policies and procedures
• Participate in end-of-course program reports and evaluations
• Attend professional workshops as required by the department

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (required)
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
• Valid and unencumbered RN license in Maryland or a compact state
• Ability to meet health credential requirements for clinical settings
• Excellent written, oral, and teaching skills
• Ability to communicate with and teach a diverse population of students

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in nursing
• Prior college or university teaching experience
• Evidence of expertise appropriate to a specific teaching specialty area
