About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs across various specialties including medical-surgical, family nurse practitioner, community health, maternal-child, and mental health nursing
- Function in laboratory, clinical, and classroom settings
- Prepare and grade course materials as necessary
- Provide support and guidance to students
- Report grades and uphold the policies of the Department of Nursing and The University of Scranton
Requirements
- BSN with an active plan to complete an MSN within 5 years
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania
- Ability to participate in the onboarding and clinical clearance process as required
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MSN) or doctoral degree in nursing
- Experience in direct care of patients and clients
- Prior clinical teaching experience
