Adjunct Faculty, Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students
• Demonstrate competence in teaching and create innovative curricula using experiential pedagogies and adult learning theory
• Engage in community service and lifelong learning through professional development
• Maintain clinical and professional experience in the field
• Support efforts to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students

Requirements

• Master of Science or Doctorate in nursing, cardiovascular sciences, perfusion medicine, pharmacy, or a closely related field
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Proficiency in Canvas, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Doctorate required for Assistant Professor level or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching at the collegiate level
• Experience providing instruction in pharmacology, nursing research, or experiential learning pedagogies
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) designation
• Peer-reviewed national or international presentations and publications
