Adjunct Faculty - Nurse Anesthesia

Responsibilities

• Function in both clinical and classroom settings to teach graduate students in the Nurse Anesthesia Program
• Prepare comprehensive course materials and curricular content
• Provide academic support, guidance, and mentorship to students
• Report grades and uphold the policies of the Department of Nursing and The University of Scranton

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Nurse Anesthesia specialty
• Current valid unencumbered PA, NY, or NJ nursing license
• Current CRNA certification/recertification
• Current AANA membership
• Experience developing curricular materials
• Experience teaching nurse anesthesia students in clinical and classroom settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, Education, or another higher education degree
• Previous teaching experience in an academic nursing program or clinical setting
• Two to three years of current experience in clinical practice as a nurse anesthetist
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, mentoring, and engaging diverse student populations
