Adjunct Faculty Liberal Arts – Politics

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person instruction for the "Understanding Politics" course during the Fall 2026 semester
• Maintain scheduled office hours (minimum one hour per week per course)
• Evaluate and grade student work promptly in accordance with institutional timelines
• Develop and submit course syllabi for departmental approval by established deadlines
• Use the institutional Learning Management System (Canvas) for course delivery and communication
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and manage administrative responsibilities
• Comply with all institutional policies, including FERPA, academic integrity, and Title IX

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Political Science or a closely related field
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in political science
• Proven college-level teaching experience, specifically teaching introductory politics
• Experience teaching diverse student populations
• Proficiency with Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (LMS)
• Ability to teach on-campus in person (no remote work available)
