About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person instruction for the "Understanding AI" course on Mondays (12:45–3:30 PM) during the Winter 2027 term
- Examine the ethical, legal, and social implications of artificial intelligence, including bias, responsibility, and inequality
- Evaluate and grade student work promptly in accordance with institutional timelines
- Maintain scheduled office hours (minimum one hour per week per course)
- Develop and submit course syllabi for departmental approval
- Use Canvas for course delivery, communication, and administrative responsibilities
- Comply with institutional policies regarding FERPA, academic integrity, and Title IX
Requirements
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant field
- Proven college-level teaching experience, specifically in AI or closely related topics
- Proficiency with Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (LMS)
- Experience teaching diverse student populations
- Ability to teach onsite in person (no remote work available)
