About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly private applied voice lessons to undergraduate music majors, minors, and non-majors
- Lead periodic studio classes for students
- Participate in end-of-semester juries and assessments
- Potential opportunities to teach additional courses as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated potential for successful teaching at the college level
- Successful track record as a performer
- Understanding of the ideals and goals of an undergraduate liberal arts education
Preferred Qualifications
- Pedagogical expertise in both classical and music theater approaches
- Skills in piano accompanying
- Demonstrated potential to be effective in Conservatory recruitment and outreach
- Ability to demonstrate pedagogical practices that cultivate a sense of belonging and inclusivity
