Adjunct Faculty, Geographic Information System (GIS) Course, Environmental Science/Public Health

Responsibilities

• Teach a crosslisted GIS course for Environmental Science undergraduate majors and Public Health master's students.
• Prepare course materials consistent with departmental and course learning objectives.
• Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
• Provide guidance and support to students in a hands-on laboratory environment.
• Facilitate learning using QGIS software to explore, manipulate, analyze, and visualize geographic data.

Requirements

• Master's degree in environmental science, public health, or a related field.
• Practical experience with ArcGIS or QGIS software.
• Ability to lecture and work with students in a computer lab environment.
• Availability to teach on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
