About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach a crosslisted GIS course for Environmental Science undergraduate majors and Public Health master's students.
- Prepare course materials consistent with departmental and course learning objectives.
- Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
- Provide guidance and support to students in a hands-on laboratory environment.
- Facilitate learning using QGIS software to explore, manipulate, analyze, and visualize geographic data.
Requirements
- Master's degree in environmental science, public health, or a related field.
- Practical experience with ArcGIS or QGIS software.
- Ability to lecture and work with students in a computer lab environment.
- Availability to teach on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
