About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver and interact with students engaged in online asynchronous independent study for the "Your Classroom Practices" course
- Record and post short video introductions for each module, describing learning goals and personal connection to the content
- Respond to student input on Canvas in a thoughtful, thorough, and timely manner
- Assess student performance to cultivate knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to the subject matter
- Maintain availability for virtual office hours to engage with students in real time
- Calculate ongoing course grades and enter final grades into Banner
Requirements
- Doctoral degree conferred in the area of teaching
- Graduate-student level proficiency (C2/Superior) in English
- Experience teaching non-English languages to English speakers
- Proficiency in Canvas for instructional delivery
- Proficiency in Banner for managing student records
- Proficiency in tools for producing and socially annotating video and audio files
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching online courses
