Adjunct Faculty, Early Childhood Education

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more courses within the Department of Education at Lewis University sites
• Model the University Mission through dedicated job performance and service excellence
• Promote unit standards as a transformative educator, multicultural educator, and social justice advocate
• Maintain availability for office hours and collaborate with faculty members and department leadership

Requirements

• Master's degree required (Terminal degree preferred)
• Active Illinois Professional Educator’s License with Early Childhood endorsement
• Previous teaching experience in the specific subject matter
• Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard
• Availability to teach during daytime hours
• Access to personal transportation for travel to university sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
