Master of Religion from an accredited institution, Ability to work with diverse student populations, Prior university teaching experience preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Theology, Religion, or General Education Religion curriculum during day and evening sessions
- Participate in pedagogical efforts to meet student learning outcomes for BA programs and university objectives
- Utilize the university's required instructional methodologies and learning management systems
- Maintain appropriate record keeping for assigned classes, assessments, and grades
- Communicate with students and the Department Chair within a 24-hour window
- Mentor students regarding their educational and career goals
- Assist with religion department organizations and student learning outcome assessments when requested
Requirements
- Master of Religion from an accredited institution in a specific applied area
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population of students
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university’s philosophy, mission, and core values
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior university teaching experience or equivalent professional experience
