Adjunct Faculty - Department of Religion

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Theology, Religion, or General Education Religion curriculum during day and evening sessions
• Participate in pedagogical efforts to meet student learning outcomes for BA programs and university objectives
• Utilize the university's required instructional methodologies and learning management systems
• Maintain appropriate record keeping for assigned classes, assessments, and grades
• Communicate with students and the Department Chair within a 24-hour window
• Mentor students regarding their educational and career goals
• Assist with religion department organizations and student learning outcome assessments when requested

Requirements

• Master of Religion from an accredited institution in a specific applied area
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population of students
• Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university’s philosophy, mission, and core values

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior university teaching experience or equivalent professional experience
