Adjunct Faculty – Criminal Justice

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction to traditional and non-traditional students in assigned Criminal Justice courses
• Utilize current pedagogical methods to foster active and engaged learning
• Develop, distribute, and review course syllabi according to college standards
• Provide supplemental instruction to enhance textbooks and lessons
• Use effective evaluation methods to measure student performance
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and evaluations
• Remain abreast of ongoing developments and practices within the teaching discipline

Requirements

• Master’s degree in criminal justice or a related legal discipline
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in criminal procedure or a related legal discipline
• Ability to use technology and online ancillaries
• Demonstrated competency in effective verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in criminal justice or a related legal discipline
• Prior college-level teaching experience
• Experience with Brightspace or a similar learning management system (LMS)
