About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate classes covering construction management topics including project management, estimating, print reading, contracts, and construction materials and methods
- Prepare and distribute course syllabi detailing requirements, grading, and policies
- Prepare, administer, and grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner
- Coordinate and supervise teaching and lab activities, including cooperative education components
- Use current technology, such as computer-assisted instruction and audio/visual equipment, to enhance learning
- Participate in institutional assessment, implementation, and evaluation measures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field plus 2,000 industry hours
- OR Associate degree in construction management or a related field plus 4,000 industry hours
- OR Associate degree plus a portfolio of work/projects (schedules, estimates, etc.) plus 6,000 industry hours
- OR Documented industry-specific training or certification (e.g., NCCER, contractor’s license) plus 5,000 industry hours
- Must hold or qualify for a post-secondary vocational credential in a related field issued by the Aims Community College CTE Office
