Adjunct Faculty: Communication Studies and Journalism

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate major courses and lower division, non-major courses
• Grade student work and respond to student questions via email
• Hold regularly scheduled office hours
• Communicate regularly with the course coordinator
• Manage course progress and student outreach

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging, dynamic, and personalized classroom experiences
• Residency in Minnesota or Wisconsin is required
• High level of intercultural competency and commitment to inclusive practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree (PhD, MFA)
• Significant professional experience in marketing communications, public relations, advertising, social media, media relations, crisis communication, organizational communication, new media theory, or journalism
