Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach lectures and laboratories for chemistry courses catering to both majors and non-majors
• Deliver course content through lectures, demonstrations, and class discussions to promote effective learning
• Prepare course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, and select appropriate textbooks and teaching aids
• Engage with students by providing notes, timely grades, and feedback via the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Supervise and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety during laboratory sessions, preparation, and clean-up

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Ability to integrate technology into course delivery
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students
• Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university’s philosophy and mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic coursework in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or inorganic chemistry
• Prior college or university laboratory teaching experience
