Adjunct Faculty

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support for various programs and courses within the School of Education as needs arise
• Deliver effective teaching and learning experiences to students
• Demonstrate professional practices in scholarship and service
• Support the development of pre-service teachers through mentorship or supervision

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Current California teaching credential (Multiple-subjects, Single-subject, PK/TK, administrative, and/or Education Specialist)
• Minimum of 5 years of K-12 teaching experience with diverse student populations in a public school system
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising teachers
• Strong knowledge of current California Common Core Standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
• Knowledge of how to support diversity in society and the current context of public schools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with teacher performance assessment (edTPA)
• Experience integrating technology into classroom curriculum
• Knowledge of current education reform efforts (NGSS, ELA/ELD Framework, etc.)
• Demonstrated success in teaching diverse student populations
• Established relationships with schools and districts in the Inland region
