Adjunct Faculty – Biology and Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly instruction through face-to-face lectures, discussions, and/or laboratory sessions
• Ensure student retention through the application of effective pedagogy
• Maintain regular interaction with other course instructors and the course coordinator
• Manage clear and timely communications with students and faculty
• Ensure the timely submission of all student grades
• Utilize university-assigned email for all professional correspondence

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in biological science, health science, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field
• 1-2 years of teaching experience at the university level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology, General Biology, or General/Organic Chemistry
• Experience working with at-risk and/or first-generation college students
