Adjunct Computer Programming Faculty

Responsibilities

• Instruct undergraduate students in Computer Programming courses through lectures and hands-on lab sessions
• Prepare and organize instruction to maximize student learning and knowledge retention
• Develop syllabi, learning aids, and research materials to support course objectives
• Utilize current classroom technology and learning management systems for effective teaching
• Maintain responsiveness to students through posted office hours and electronic communication
• Complete required college reports, timely grading, and Quality Matters certification
• Participate in the development and administration of core assessments

Requirements

• AAS in Computer Programming or a related field
• 3 years of related professional work experience
• Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications and learning management systems (Canvas preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Commitment to diversity, academic excellence, and exceptional service

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Programming
• Completion of 18 graduate-level credit hours in Computer Programming
• Successful teaching experience at the community college or dual credit level
