About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach the undergraduate Human Anatomy and Physiology I course, covering the structure and function of the human body.
- Facilitate in-person laboratories, including the use of virtual dissection tables.
- Utilize standardized course materials, assessments, and activities provided via the Blackboard platform.
- Ensure all course planning and material posting is completed prior to the first day of class.
- Maintain presence for all course meetings and final exam periods, and hold office hours to assist students.
- Monitor student progress, grade assignments, and submit midterm and final grades by university deadlines.
- Complete required faculty training, such as cybersecurity training, during the semester.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Elmhurst University.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in biology or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching undergraduate students.
Benefits
- Compensation for a standard 1.0 credit (4 semester hour) course is $3,800-$4,000.
- New part-time faculty start at the Adjunct Level 1 rate of $3,800.
