Adjunct Assistant Professor - Medical Imaging

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise students during imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT, and MRI
• Demonstrate proper patient positioning, equipment use, and imaging techniques
• Ensure students follow protocols to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Assess student performance in real-time clinical settings and provide constructive feedback
• Complete clinical evaluations, attendance records, and competency checklists
• Reinforce safe practices, including radiation protection and infection control
• Ensure adherence to ARRT and JRCERT guidelines and maintain HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in the professional discipline
• Willingness to travel to clinical sites within 30 miles of the LIU Post Campus
• Strong communication and teaching skills
