Adjunct Assistant Professor Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Provide mathematics course instruction to ensure student comprehension, knowledge retention, and effective engagement
• Adhere to course delivery requirements outlined in official course descriptions, master syllabi, and lab schedules
• Prepare and maintain Canvas shells for assigned classes, including recording attendance and posting grades
• Complete grading of student assignments and exams within 5 days and submit final grades promptly
• Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and departmental meetings as directed
• Maintain professional communication with students and adhere to all College faculty and student attendance policies

Requirements

• Master's Degree in the discipline, or a Master's Degree in a different discipline with at least 18 graduate credits in Mathematics
• Alternative: Bachelor's Degree in the discipline plus at least five years of directly related professional field experience and certification/licensure
• Prior teaching experience at the high school or college level, or experience as a trainer/group presenter
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with recent educational technology
• Must be a resident of NJ, NY, PA, or FL
• Ability to conduct in-person classes at the Toms River, NJ main campus

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to online course study or experience using a Learning Management System (LMS)
