Adjunct Assistant Professor, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person course instruction for accounting classes to ensure student comprehension and engagement
• Adhere to course delivery requirements outlined in official course descriptions, master syllabi, and lab schedules
• Prepare and maintain Canvas shells for assigned classes, including recording attendance and posting grades
• Complete grading of student assignments and exams within 5 days and submit final grades within 48 hours of class conclusion
• Submit course syllabi and outlines for Dean approval seven calendar days prior to the start of class
• Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and departmental meetings as required

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and professional experience as specified in the job description)
• Prior teaching experience at the high school or college level, or experience as a professional trainer
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with recent technology and Learning Management Systems
• Must be a resident of New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania
• Ability to teach in-person at the Toms River, NJ campus

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to online course study or experience using a Learning Management System (LMS)
