Additive Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Uphold and follow all Additive safety measures
• Prepare additive print jobs and manage setups
• Operate metal 3D printers (EOS, SLM, DMG preferred)
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, optical, and electrical issues
• Conduct calibration of 3D printers and interpret findings with Engineering
• Ensure part conformance through independent inspection
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
• Collaborate with Engineers on setup and fabrication of 3D prints
• Utilize measurement tools like micrometers and calipers for post-print inspection

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing (for Technician I)
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing (for Technician II)
• Proficiency with hand, power, and pneumatic tools
• Proficiency in inspection methods including calipers and micrometers
• Experience operating machine tools such as mills, lathes, or cranes
• Ability to work B Shift (Monday-Friday, 1pm-9:30pm PST)
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience operating metal 3D printers
• Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (AM) principles
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings
• Experience using JIRA
