The Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (Pozez JCC), located in Fairfax, Virginia, is a nonprofit, social service organization that builds community and enriches lives. The Pozez JCC is a community connector, offering a variety of programs and services on the main campus, online and throughout Northern Virginia through its many partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the Adaptive Water Safety Program, creating a safe and inclusive environment for participants
• Customize swim instruction to meet the diverse needs of children, emphasizing water safety and enjoyment
• Teach private and semi-private swim lessons, adapting lessons to individual goals and abilities
• Communicate effectively with families and team members to support swimmer progress
• Promote water safety awareness and practices in all lessons

Requirements

• Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and Swim Instruction (Red Cross or equivalent)
• Experience in teaching swim lessons to individuals with varying abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt teaching techniques to accommodate diverse needs
• Passion for fostering inclusion and water safety
