ADABAS Natural Developer

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and support of Natural/ADABAS mainframe applications
• Maintenance and support for mainframe JCL, PROCEDURE, PARMETER and data objects
• Apply enhancements to existing code base and implement testing/analysis procedures
• Support and maintenance of ADABAS database structures
• Interface with internal and external customers to develop programming for customer needs
• Develop code from specifications for applications retrieving data from external providers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Systems Analysis, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of Software AG Natural programming language
• Knowledge of ADABAS database theory, techniques, and structures
• Knowledge of PREDICT Data Dictionary functionality
• Knowledge of IBM Job Control Language (JCL), IBM z/360 OS, and ISPF interface
• Understanding of the full software development process

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of VSAM file structures
