Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for acute inpatient kidney disease patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to prescribed intradialytic transfusions
• Collaborate with physicians, facility primary nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and their families regarding basic learning needs and treatment processes
• Direct and delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians
• Assist with emergency response measures and participate in quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Minimum 9 months of experience as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications

• 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse
• 6 months of experience in acute dialysis
• Experience in Hemodialysis and/or ICU settings
