Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in an acute inpatient setting.
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment, documenting all findings in medical records.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to prescribed intradialytic transfusions.
• Collaborate with physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and respond to changes in patient status.
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their families regarding learning needs and treatment.
• Direct and delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
• Assist with emergency response measures and participate in staff training and orientation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 9 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of acute dialysis experience.
• Experience in Hemodialysis or ICU settings.
• 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
