Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to prescribed intradialytic transfusions
• Collaborate with physicians, primary nurses, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and their families regarding basic learning needs and treatment processes
• Direct and delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians
• Initiate and assist with emergency response measures as required

Requirements

• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience within the last 2 years as an RN

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in acute dialysis
